  • One shoulder or one side of your pelvis sits higher than the other
  • Your neck and lower back feel stiff after sitting at work all day
  • Your pelvis feels out of alignment after giving birth
  • It is uncomfortable to sit unless you cross your legs
  • Corrections you have had seem to wear off quickly

Examined by hand, realigned by hand

Chuna (推拿) means "push and pull." A Korean medicine doctor uses their hands, body, and supporting tools to realign the spine and joints and to loosen stiff muscles and ligaments.

Dr. Yoon Younglong of Woorimbon Korean Medicine Clinic has practiced Chuna manual therapy for 16 years. Even with the same postural imbalance, muscle tension, range of joint movement, and daily habits all differ, so Dr. Yoon examines your body structure and condition before deciding on the intensity and technique.

Please read before treatment

  • Chuna manual therapy is not performed if you have severe osteoporosis or if a fracture, tumor, or infection is suspected.

  • Maintaining the corrected alignment also requires managing your daily habits, and results vary from person to person.

Frequently asked questions

QDoes Chuna treatment hurt?

You may hear a "crack" when a joint is realigned, but in most cases there is no significant pain. We adjust the intensity to your condition and how tense you are.

QHow does National Health Insurance apply?

If you are diagnosed with a musculoskeletal condition, Chuna manual therapy is covered by National Health Insurance. The number of covered sessions per year and the copayment rate depend on the condition, and we will explain them when you check in.

QWhen can I start postpartum pelvic correction?

It depends on how you gave birth and how you are recovering. It usually starts after you have recovered to some extent, and we will set the timing after an examination.
